Our Terms

On this page, you will find our adoption terms as well as information about our pricing.

We place great importance on providing each kitten with the best possible transition to their new family, while supporting our adopters with care and kindness.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need further details.

Terms, Information, and Pricing

At Chatterie de la Reine Oly, the health, respect, and well-being of our cats come first. Each adoption is carefully considered, and our terms are established with the best interest of everyone in mind: kittens, adopters, and breeder.

A courteous introduction to your home is requested to start the conversation. I always take the time to answer your questions, and I will also ask some, aiming to ensure the best possible match between the kitten and its future family.

When you contact me via the contact form, some basic questions will be asked.

All our breeding cats are tested for numerous essential points, including genetic diseases, infectious pathologies, and imaging exams performed by specialists.

They have a pedigree, a genetic ID card, are registered on PawPeds, and have their color tests.

You can find the complete list of tests on the homepage©

Adoption Information

Before contacting me, if you are interested in one of my kittens, please make sure to discuss it with all members of your household to ensure everyone agrees on welcoming an animal into your daily life.

A kitten, or even an adult cat, involves acquisition and ongoing care costs. A cat is a living being, a constant presence. You may need to arrange for pet-sitting or bring them along on vacation. They have fur, claws, and teeth, and they will be active, with their own needs and personality.

It is therefore essential that this decision be carefully considered beforehand and unanimously accepted by all household members before contacting me. Following this family reflection, and prior to reserving one of my kittens, it is vital for me to ensure the animal’s well-being and the best possible match between the kitten, their future home, and potential new family.

I would be grateful if you could send me a courteous message. A presentation of your family and household would be greatly appreciated. We will then be able to exchange, i will answer your questions, and you will answer mine.

- Leaving as a pet :

My kittens adopted as pets are spayed/neutered without exception and may only leave after full recovery from the surgery.

- Leaving unneutered/entire :

Leaving unneutered is possible. However, I prioritize pet adoptions, so any request for an entire kitten will be subject to strict conditions. You must, of course, be a registered breeder or in the process of becoming one.

For beginners, a request for an unneutered kitten must be made after providing your ACACED certificate, SIRET number, and registered cattery name, not the other way around. (A receipt confirming your application in progress is acceptable.)
“No one is born knowing how to walk” : I will be available to support and guide you kindly, as long as you are open to learning and willing to listen.

Before discussing my other conditions, i will require a presentation of your family, your breeding program, and your working methods. Without this, your request for an entire kitten will not be considered, even if you’ve been a breeder for 50 years. ©

Kitten Departure

My kittens leave the cattery starting at 14 weeks of age :

  • Neutered/spayed (for entire kittens, see adoption conditions)

  • Identified with ICAD (French national pet registry)

  • Provided with a health record (*passport for exportation)

  • Dewormed and vaccinated with boosters (*rabies included for exportation)

  • A veterinary certificate of good health

  • A USB drive containing the parents’ health tests

  • Accompanied by a sales contract

  • With their pedigree (if not yet received, it will be sent later)

  • An engagement and knowledge certificate (French legal requirement)

  • Covered by two months of complimentary pet insurance

  • A kitten starter kit

On request, additional vaccines, health tests, genetic identity card, etc., can be added, at your expense.

Kittens only leave the cattery after full payment has been received.

Installment payments are accepted, but the kitten will remain at the cattery until the total balance is paid in full.

The final payment may be made by bank transfer, as long as it is made and received at least 15 days prior to the kitten's departure, regardless of whether it is an instant transfer or not.

If this condition is not met, the remaining balance must be paid in cash on the day of departure.
Checks are not accepted.

If the kitten is not fully paid for, no matter how far you’ve traveled, you will leave without them. ©

Thank you for your understanding.

Delivery within France and internationally

I offer delivery of my kittens, at your expense, to certain cities in France.

For deliveries I cannot handle personally, as well as for international shipments, I will put you in touch with a trusted specialized transporter who provides individual, direct, and secure transportation : the kitten stays with the transporter for the entire journey.

Please note : some countries may not be served by this transporter. Feel free  me to check the feasibility of delivery to your country.

For organizational and regulatory reasons, kittens scheduled for delivery will be the last to leave the cattery.

In all cases, whether you choose delivery by me or by a transporter, full payment for the kitten, as well as a portion of the transport fees, must be completed at least 15 days prior to the departure date.

To know the delivery conditions and rates via the transporter, you will be directly connected with them. ©

Cattery Visit

It is strongly recommended to arrange one or more video calls to meet your potential future kitten, as well as their siblings and parents.

For health and safety reasons, and to preserve the well-being of my cats, in-person visits are not a priority. However, a physical visit may be considered, but only after the kittens have received their first vaccination.

If you decide to reserve a kitten, you will receive photos and/or videos every week. If you wish, we can also schedule a weekly video call.

During the handover or visit of your little companion, a strict health protocol will be applied. Group visits will not be allowed.

The cattery, along with all areas of my home, is regularly disinfected using broad-spectrum products specifically designed for breeding environments. This cleaning is enhanced by an ozone disinfection system.

At the entrance, a footbath, a shoe cover dispenser, and a hand disinfection station are provided and must be used before entering my home, even if you have sensitive skin.

Anyone refusing to follow this complete protocol will not be allowed inside. Naturally, no outside animals will ever be permitted within the premises. ©

Prices

Prices vary depending on several criteria such as coat color, destination (pet or breeding), as well as any additional services requested (tests, specific vaccinations, documents, etc.).

Price for a sterilized/neutered kitten (pet) : between € 1400 and € 1800.

Price for an entire kitten (breeding) : between € 2000 and € 4000.

These prices are given as an indication, excluding delivery fees, and may be subject to increase or decrease depending on various factors.

Attention

Whether the kittens are intended as pets (therefore sterilized/neutered) or left intact, I want to make it clear that my kittens remain my property until they are officially adopted.

I reserve the right to accept or refuse any reservation without having to justify my decision, whether it is based on facts or intuition.

My priority is to place my kittens with golden families who will love them for life. This requirement may seem demanding, but it simply reflects the love and commitment I have for each of them.

When I accept a reservation, it means I already see you as a wonderful golden family ! And that is a true joy, never a constraint. ©

The adopter chooses their potential future kitten, but the breeder selects the adopter they believe is best suited for their kitten.

If you need any additional information, don’t hesitate to contact me, I don’t bite  ;-)
